Orlando International Airport (MCO) is Florida's busiest airport with more than 30 scheduled airlines, four charters and five cargo companies providing non-stop service to 88 destinations in the United States and 24 international cities.

Orlando International Airport, is centrally located and easily accessible to all Orlando area theme parks, attractions and downtown Orlando. Located within 15 miles (24 kilometers) from the Orlando International Airport off the Interstate 4 is the International Drive area, noted for its high concentration of hotel chains, the Orange County Convention Center and major Orlando theme parks, SeaWorld, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and the Wet 'n' Wild water park. Linked by Interstate 4 (I-4) and 20 miles southwest of Orlando International Airport is the famed Walt Disney World.

The Main Terminal features three levels.

Level 1: Ground transportation (buses, shuttles, limos, and taxicabs) are located on the lower level.

Level 2: Baggage claim and curbside pick-up is located on the middle level.

Level 3: Ticket counters, security checkpoints, and gates are located on the upper level. The Main Terminal also features four concourses.

  • Concourse A contains gates 1-29.
  • Concourse B contains gates 30-59.
  • Concourse C contains gates 60-99.
  • Concourse D contains gates 100-129.

For travel within the United States: 90 minutes prior to scheduled departure
For International Travel: 2 hours prior to scheduled departure

Directions to Orlando International Airport

Take I-4 and exit at SR 417. Proceed south and follow signs to Orlando International Airport
From the Florida Turnpike, take the SR 528 exit and follow the SR 528 east towards Orlando International Airport. You can exit at exit 11B.

Orlando Airport Taxi

Taxis at Orlando International Airport are available on both the A and B sides of the Main Terminal, on the Ground Transportation Level (Level) 1, at Commercial Lane parking spaces: A5, A6, A7, A8, A22, A23, A24, A25 & B5, B6, B7, B8, B20, B21, B22, B23, B24, B25

Taxis may carry up to 9 passengers, and charge the same rate regardless of the number of passengers. All taxicabs picking up at the Airport are regulated by the City of Orlando's Vehicle-for-Hire ordinance which requires fares to be determined by a taximeter. Flat rate fees are not authorized.

Note: When traveling in Central Florida, you should know that the Beachline Expressway was formally known as the Beeline Expressway. You might still come across some old road signs. So be aware that these two names are actually the same highway.
