SunRail

SunRail is Central Florida's first passenger rail system. With initial service started May 1, 2014, the long-awaited 61.5 mile commuter rail service connected four counties and traveled through Volusia, Seminole, Orange, and Osceola counties.

The first phase of SunRail was 31-miles and serves 12 stations, linking DeBary to Orlando. Phase II was the Southern Expansion, which opened on July 30, 2018, and connects Sand Lake Road in Orange County to Poinciana in Osceola County. This is a 17.2-mile segment added four additional stations to the existing rail system.

Running parallel to Interstate 4, SunRail commuter rail service consists of one to three cars, along with a locomotive, with the capacity to carry more than 150 passengers in each car.

Sunrail Trains Run Monday - Friday and closed on the following holidays:
New Year's Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day

DeBary Station is a short distance from the St. Johns River and busy U.S. Highway 17-92. This station is near some of Central Florida's most scenic parks and is easily accessible to Interstate 4.

Located near the intersection of State Road 46 and Airport Boulevard, the Sanford SunRail station is a short distance from Historic Downtown Sanford, Seminole Town Mall & Central Florida Regional Hospital.

The Lake Mary station is conveniently located near the intersection of Lake Mary Boulevard and Country Club Road, adjacent to Stairstep Park.

Located near the intersection of Ronald Reagan Boulevard and Church Avenue, the Longwood station is a short distance from the historic center of town, municipal services buildings, civic centers, and three public parks. This station is in close proximity to S.R. 434.

The Altamonte Springs station is centrally located near the intersection of Altamonte Drive (S.R. 436) and Ronald Reagan Boulevard. This convenient location is within a brisk walk or easy bus ride to Altamonte Mall, Florida Hospital, Winwood Park & Eastmonte Park

The Maitland Station is located near the current Parker Lumber site, just south of the Maitland Boulevard overpass, on U.S. Highway 17-92. Stop here for access to Downtown Maitland and City municipal complex.

Located near the intersection of Morse Boulevard and Park Avenue, the charming Winter Park Amtrak station is within walking distance of Historic Central Park, Winter Park Welcome Center, Municipal complex, Winter Park 9-hole golf course, Farmer's Market and Rollins College

AdventHealth Station is located at Florida Hospital's main campus, near the intersection of Rollins Street and Orange Ave. Stop here for access to Orlando Loch Haven Park, Orlando Science Center, Orlando Museum of Art, Museum of American Art and many more.

Centrally located in downtown Orlando, the SunRail station at Lynx Central Station, is near the intersection of Amelia Street and Garland Ave. This station provides quick and easy transfers to the region's bus network. Stop here for access to downtown business activities, federal courthouses and downtown entertainment.

The SunRail station at Church Street is located near the intersection of South Street and Garland Avenue, the SunRail station at Church Street serves the downtown business area and the city's booming residential and entertainment district.

The SunRail station at Orlando Health is near the intersection of Sligh Blvd. and Columbia Street. Stop here for access to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Arnold Palmer Children's Hospital, Orlando Regional Medical Center and more.

The SunRail station at Sand Lake Road is located near the intersection of Orange Ave. and Sand Lake Road. Stop here for access to Florida Mall, Orange County Convention Center, Orlando International Airport (OIA) and International Drive.

SunRail Phase 2 Stations - Southern Expansion

The SunRail southern Expansion links Sand Lake Road in Orange County to Poinciana in Osceola County. This is 17.2-mile segment features four additional stations, Meadow Woods, Tupperware, Kissimmee and Poinciana Stations.

The southbound Tupperware Station Station in Osceola County is located near the intersection of Osceola Pkwy. and Michigan Ave.

Kissimmee station

The southbound Kissimmee Station in Osceola County is located near the intersection of Broadway St. and Monument Ave.

Poinciana Station
Poinciana Station

The southbound Poinciana Station in Osceola County is located near the intersection of Orange Blossom Trail and Poinciana Blvd.

SunRail Schedule

TimeSunRail commuter trains operate every 30-minutes during peak service from 5:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

During off-peak hours, service will operate every two hours.

Coordinated schedules with LYNX and Votran bus services provide seamless transfers.

A base fare within a single county is $2.00, with a $1.00 additional fee for travel across each county line. See map below for County boundaries.

SunRail discounts fares are available for seniors 65+, students (ages 7-17), and the disabled.

SunRail Ticket Purchase

Buying a ticket to ride on SunRail trains is easy. There are 4 Ticket Vending Machines located at each SunRail Station. The ticket vending machine works just like an ATM machine and allows you to purchase SunRail Tickets and Monthly Passes. The ticket vending machines is also accessible to the disabled.
